Video Production Packages Perth: What a $5K vs $10K vs $15K vs $20K Package Actually Gets You

Ask around Perth for video production pricing and you'll mostly get one of two answers - "it depends", or a quote form with no numbers attached. A few studios publish tiers with names instead of prices, so you still don't know what you're actually comparing. I publish four fixed prices - $5,000, $10,000, $15,000 and $20,000 - and the question I get asked most isn't "how much", it's "what's actually different between them". Not the marketing language - the actual shoot time, the actual number of finished pieces, the actual gap in what lands in your inbox. Here's the honest breakdown, dimension by dimension, so you can work out which one you need before you enquire.

1. Shoot days: the time that actually happens on site

A shoot day in my terms is up to 8 hours on site, including setup and pack-down - not a stopwatch running from the moment I unlock the car. Foundation ($5,000) is built around a half-day shoot - enough time for one story, one location, one crew setup. Extended ($10,000) moves to a full shoot day, which is what lets the edit cover more than one angle, area or person without rushing any of them. Momentum ($15,000) is two shoot days, booked one at a time as the work comes up rather than scheduled back to back. Complete (from $20,000) works differently again - 16 shoot hours drawn down across 12 months, which is roughly two days' worth of filming spread across the year against whatever comes up.

2. The hero film: what the shoot actually becomes

Foundation gets you one hero film, up to 90 seconds - one story, told properly, with nothing padded out to fill time. Extended's full shoot day buys a longer hero film, built to carry more than a single location or subject rather than compress everything into 90 seconds. Momentum produces two hero films across its two shoot days, so you're not trying to force two different stories into one edit. Complete produces three hero films over the year, each one built from whichever shoot best suits it - a site milestone, a new hire, a launch.

3. Social cuts: how many separate pieces you actually get to post

This is the number that decides how long a shoot keeps feeding your feed after the hero film goes up. Foundation includes 3 social cuts, Extended 5, Momentum 8 and Complete 12. Each one is its own edit, cut for a specific platform or purpose - not the hero film resized to fit a square. A single shoot day at Extended level, done properly, should be giving you content to post for a couple of months, not a couple of weeks.

4. Stills: the photography bundled into every shoot

Every package includes edited stills from the same shoot day - you're not booking a separate photographer to stand next to the film crew. Foundation includes 10+ edited images, Extended 20+, Momentum 30+ and Complete 50+. These come out of the same footage and same time on site, which is part of why the packages are priced the way they are rather than as video and photography add-ons stacked on top of each other.

5. Strategy and access: what the higher tiers add beyond more footage

Foundation and Extended both start with a short strategy session and a written content direction, so the shoot day has a plan before anyone picks up a camera. Momentum swaps the one-off session for a rolling content plan, updated as projects come up, plus priority scheduling and shoot days that stay open for 12 months rather than expiring on a fixed date. Complete goes further again - a 12-month plan reviewed quarterly, priority access to my calendar, and first right of refusal on your dates. That last part matters more than it sounds: if two clients want the same week, the Complete client gets it.

6. Which package actually fits your business

Foundation suits a single campaign, launch or one story that needs to be told properly - a new service, a major milestone, a testimonial that's going to do a lot of work for you. Extended is the one most Perth businesses land on, which is why it's marked "most popular" - a full shoot day covers more than one angle or stakeholder in a way a half day can't, without stepping up to a multi-day commitment. Momentum fits a business that knows it will need content through the year but doesn't want to lock into a fixed monthly retainer - you book the next day when the need is actually there. Complete suits a business that wants filming handled the way payroll is - an ongoing function, not a project - and it's where most of my mining, construction and government relationships sit, since those sectors tend to have content needs spread across a whole year rather than a single event.

If none of the four fit, there are two smaller options that don't carry a strategy phase: Short Form ($2,400, half a day at one location) and Single Day ($3,500, a full day), for when you already know exactly what you need and just want it filmed.
